You expected what

A protest 

Masses in the streets 

Out raged

At the very least

A silent vigil 

Instead of conditioned

Apathy 

Learned ignorance 

Because an unknown

In an unknown 

Across unknowable boarders 

Across unfathomable bodies of water

Is no longer living an unknown life

Our own children 

Are being gunned down

And we do not

Protest
