Justice and Belonging

what would you say belonging

does to erode family values

can you spin justice 

as something to fear

Belonging is about human connection

it is an understanding one gains 

from a purposeful intent whose action

and is an impactful social environment

that has at it's core acceptance of all

Justice is less about vengeance

more about seeking and releasing

the truth. Publicly acknowledging

what was unfair attempting to

right a wrong if necessary. 

Equity is a fair evaluation of the contribution

of individuals to the whole. 

Evaluated with a freedom from bias or favoritism. 

Diversity acknowledges opportunities 

in our future will require novel and unique

solutions. 

Creativity and collaboration available 

only to groups of individuals 

with a verity of cultural 

and spiritual backgrounds.

Inclusion recognizes the absence

of those who are marginalized 

due to their assumed and expressed 

identities being unfairly treated by

an indefensible system based on 

a set of social norms intended 

to maintain power for a 

limited few as being valuable 

members of the whole. 

Belonging, Justice,  Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

as a prayer as a mantra and a mission statement

is an attempt to encourage a more perfect union

of individuals. It is about humanity being stronger

united than divided.
